Sapphire Class

Sapphires Class is a mixed Year 9, 10 and 11 group. We are all working hard on a wide range of different pathways and preparing for our examinations in Years 10 and 11. All of us will complete Entry Level or Level 1 qualifications in a variety of subjects depending on our ability. Some of us will also work towards GCSEs. Our Year 10 and 11 pupils attend Halesowen College once a week to prepare them for their future post 16 education. We also have close links with the local community that secures many work experience placements.

Please feel free to get in touch by home school diary, phone or email sapphires@brier.dudley.sch.uk, if you have any queries or concerns.

Each class produces their own termly newsletter to let parents and carers know what learning is taking place within their classroom. To read the Sapphire Class newsletter/s click on the link below and search for Sapphire Class.

Suggested Home Learning

There are many ways parents can extend and support their child’s learning at home. Minimal input of resources and time can still heavily influence their learning. Easy low cost activities such as regular reading at home or simple word games can support children’s basic language skills; whilst offering experiences such as exploring the local community can build a child’s understanding of the world and support a range of areas such as maths and physical development.

We have put together a selection of suggested home learning activities for parents / carers to use with their children. Use the link below to view / download our Sapphire Class Home Learning Activities document.
