Online Safety

At The Brier School online safety is embedded across our entire curriculum. As active participants in the digital world, it is of paramount importance that our pupils understand a range of ways to use technology safely, respectfully, responsibly and securely. This includes protecting their online identity and privacy; recognising inappropriate content, contact and conduct, and knowing how to report concerns.

 

Here are some useful websites to help you stay safe online:

  • Childline Childline will help anyone under 19 in the UK with any issue they’re going through. Whether it’s something big or small, their trained counsellors are there to support you.
  • Childnet International Childnet’s mission is to help make the internet a great and safe place for children. Use this website to find the latest information on the sites and services that you like to use, plus information about mobiles, gaming, downloading, social networking and much more.
  • Think U Know Thinkuknow is the education programme from NCA-CEOP, which protects children both online and offline. Explore one of the six Thinkuknow websites for advice about staying safe when you're on a phone, tablet or computer.
  • UK Safer Internet Centre The UK Safer Internet Centre is a website that you can use to find online safety tips, advice and resources to help stay safe online.
