EYFS / KS1 Rainbow Pod
Rainbow Pod, comprises of six classes providing essential support for our youngest learners in their educational journey. Red, Yellow, and Violet classes represent the initial steps in a child's adventure through the school. In these classes, we cultivate a secure and nurturing environment that promotes confidence and a genuine enthusiasm for learning through both play and focused sessions encouraging the children to achieve and thrive whist giving them a sense of belonging.
Our curriculum adheres to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, engaging children with a variety of stimulating topics. These topics offer students numerous opportunities to explore, engage, and learn actively, thereby enhancing their motivation while developing critical and creative thinking skills. This playful approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also establishes a solid foundation for their future educational pursuits.
Transitioning to our Blue, Pink, and Green classes, we accommodate mixed Year One and Two students. The Pink and Blue classes implement a sensory based curriculum that underscores the importance of effective communication. Learners in these classes participate in a diverse array of engaging activities designed to facilitate self expression in creative manners.
An integral component of our programme includes regular excursions to the Sycamore Green Adventure Centre, where students can extend their learning beyond the classroom and connect with nature. In Green Class, we build upon the competencies previously acquired, transitioning towards more structured topic-based learning that aligns with the National Curriculum. While this approach ensures a comprehensive educational experience, we continue to emphasise the significance of exploration and play, thereby ensuring that our students maintain their enthusiasm for learning throughout their educational journey.
In Rainbow Pod, we firmly believe that every child deserves the optimal start to their educational adventure.
